The PCA has adopted the ridiculous report on the Federal Vision theology which is not a report at all, given that it does not accurately represent the theology of the men in question.
I'm a big FV guy. I'm an Anglican FV guy. Meaning, if the FV men are on the "road to Rome," I'm further up the highway than they are. I don't deny justification by faith alone, so they sure don't. I don't believe a Romanist view of the sacraments (and I affirm the Real Presence!), so they sure don't. It's all very very silly, and made sillier by the more-Calvinist-than-Calvin camp that wants to call everyone a heretic for holding the views of their own supposed spiritual ancestors.

Yeah, I am not sure where I stand on the whole issue yet, but I love the writings of Wright, Leithart, Wilson and the bunch. I am very dissapointed that this resolution passed.
Having grown up in a deep south PCA church, the majority of the older membership is still pretty "post" SBC. So, I think pastors generally fear (react to) anything that sounds like works based teaching.
Plus, the high road looks so much nicer than having the Southern Poverty Law Center (or the non-rev. Al Sharpton) publicly rail on you (a mostly white denomination) cause you've got some guys writing that the bible doesn't explicitly prohibit slavery.
Here's the report. (pdf content)
