Hey Johnny,

Just finished listening to your 2nd class and want to give ya a brief note on those who perished in Korah's rebellion. Jude comments:

(Jude 1:11-13) Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. {12} These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; {13} Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

notice who he lumps together and their ultimate end.

Also, and maybe more secondary, the word "perished" is:
622. apollumi, ap-ol'-loo-mee; from G575 and the base of G3639; to destroy fully (reflex. to perish, or lose), lit. or fig.:--destroy, die, lose, mar, perish.

whenever it's used of a situation in the afterlife, it's never good. it almost always is speaking of those who are "lost" eternally. the distinction is usually between those who are saved and those who "perish."

(1 Cor 15:18)
(2 Cor 2:15)
(2 Cor 4:3)

perhaps this will help.
