Last night, we cranked up our gas-log fireplace for the first time. I sat in my chair by the fire sipping cognac and reading Morris' extraordinary biography of Theodore Roosevelt. Truly a highbrow moment compared to the night before in which I was laying on the sofa watching Justice League.
