Thank You, Son of Buzi

I finished transcribing Ezekiel's prophecy yesterday. It was bittersweet. I have really enjoyed spending time with this strange, strange brother in Christ.

I've posted a few observations over the course of these months, but I'll reiterate with some other thoughts:

1. It both sucked and rocked to be Ezekiel. He went through so much, but saw such amazing things. It was not merely a fair trade; it was a huge blessing to him. I thank the LORD for doing that for him.

2. The Bible sometimes uses very graphic language that no contemporary Church in America would dare read to their congregation, and we should be ashamed of that. Most of us would keep portions of God's Word from our kids.

3. Cherubs are bulls.

4. The Temple shown to Ezekiel is IMHO not merely a symbol, nor is it some future building to be erected during some millennial reign of Jesus from Jerusalem. I think it's the blueprint given to the Exiles of what they were supposed to build upon their return, but did not. I'm half-convinced that that's why the old men wept in the Book of Ezra.

5. The Lord is there.
